All about Visas
Visa Application Centre caters to applications for Short stay Visas and Residence Permits. Please note applicant’s passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the intended stay in France and there should be at least two empty pages available in the passport for visa and/or permit sticker and other stamps during the travel. A new passport must be obtained before submission of your application, if the said conditions are not met.

Please note: the prolonged passports will not be accepted.

IMPORTANT: France Consulate General in Dubai has the right to call any applicants for personal interview at the Consulate and / or ask for supporting documents in addition to the list of documents provided on this site under each visa category.

BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION FOR FRANCE CONSULATE IN DUBAI
Schengen visa has to be obtained from the Embassy or Consulate of the country where the MAIN PURPOSE OF TRAVEL lies. In case of travel to multiple Schengen countries, please make your application to the Consulate where you will be staying for the maximum number of days. In case the duration of stay in the Schengen countries is same for each country, then visa application should be submitted with the country that is applicant’s “First Point of Entry”. Please check your travel plans before submitting your application.

CHOICE TO MAKE WHILE SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION
France Consulate in Dubai will return processed passports to the Visa Application Centre in Dubai. Applicants have a choice to decide on how they would like to collect their passports and / or documents, i.e. by subscribing for a Courier Services at the time of application submission or by collecting it from the Visa Application Centre in Dubai.

Visa Application Process

Step 1 :
Prepare your application and supporting documents: Go to ‘All about your visas’ link on this website and find out details related to the visa category you want to apply for – here, you can find the applicable fee, documents required, Visa application form and more.

Step 2 :
Submit your application: Visit Visa Application Centre and submit your completed Visa Application Forms along with required supporting documents.

Step 3 :
Pay applicable Fee: Please check ‘Visa Fee’ table provided under the visa category you are applying for. Visa Application Centre accepts the fee in CASH ONLY. Submission Officer at the Visa Application Centre will advise you on total payable amount in local currency only (AED). A receipt will be provided for all payments made at the Centre.

Step 4 :
Interview Appointment: On the day of submission every applicant will be given an interview appointment with the office of the Consulate General of France. The interview appointment is for completing the process of biometrics. It is a MUST for every applicant to visit the Consulate office in person

Please note:
At the time of submission at the Visa Application Centre, applicant has the choice to:

a) subscribe for Courier Service for return of passport
b) subscribe for SMS Service where Visa Application Centre sends application status on applicant’s mobile and via email
