Long Term Visa
All visa applicants for France are advised to visit the Joint Visa application centre in Dubai to submit their applications, together with all necessary documents. On the day of submission every applicant will be given an interview appointment with the office of the Consulate General of France. The interview appointment is for completing the process of biometrics. It is a MUST for every applicant to visit the Consulate office in person. Please note that visas are issued only to residents of the Emirates of Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain.

It is advisable to prepare all your required documents corresponding to your travel dates, to avoid delay in the application process.

Please note that the Consulate General of France, Dubai issues visas only for residents in its territory of operation - Emirates of Dubai, Sharjah, Ras - Al- Khaimah, Fujairah, Ajman & Umm - Al - Quwain.

Mandatory interview for all long stay visa categories. Applicants are requested to schedule their interview at the time of submission of application at the France Visa Application Center .

Visa Application Centre procedure is not compulsory, applicants can also go directly to the visa section at the French General Consulate in Dubai to submit their applications with prior appointment through the call center 04 3764100.

Visa Application Process

Step 1 :
Prepare your application and supporting documents: Go to ‘All about your visas’ link on this website and find out details related to the visa category you want to apply for – here, you can find the applicable fee, documents required, Visa application form and more.

Step 2 :
Submit your application: Visit Visa Application Centre and submit your completed Visa Application Forms along with required supporting documents.

Step 3 :
Pay applicable Fee: Please check ‘Visa Fee’ table provided under the visa category you are applying for. Visa Application Centre accepts the fee in CASH ONLY. Submission Officer at the Visa Application Centre will advise you on total payable amount in local currency only (AED). A receipt will be provided for all payments made at the Centre.

Step 4 :
Interview Appointment: On the day of submission every applicant will be given an interview appointment with the office of the Consulate General of France. The interview appointment is for completing the process of biometrics. It is a MUST for every applicant aged 12 Years and above to visit the Consulate office in person to complete their finger print - biometrics, with the French Consulate.

Please note:
At the time of submission at the Visa Application Centre, applicant has the choice to:

a) subscribe for Courier Service for return of passport
b) subscribe for SMS Service where Visa Application Centre sends application status on applicant’s mobile phones
