NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS ACCEPTED BY VISA APPLICATION CENTRE
Due to the high volume of applications, the Consulate General has restricted the number of interview appointments in order to provide you with a better service. Kindly anticipate this delay in application process and plan your travel well in advance, especially during summer time. Applicant’s lack of planning will not be taken into account as a priority by the Consulate.

VISA APPLICATION CENTRE ROLE
All applications collected by the Visa Application Center will be sent to the Visa Section at France Consulate General in Dubai for assessment and resolution. Visa Application Centre staff has no say in the visa decision taken by the Consulate and has no influence on the application processing time whatsoever.

New Procedure for Domestic workers accompanying their sponsors

It is advisable to start the procedure early enough before the planned departure. Sponsor can fill the authorization request form (Cerfa form) and send it to the concerned DDTEFP before submitting visa application. However the sponsor must enclose a copy of the form that was sent to the DDTEFP in the domestic worker’s visa application file and send to the Consulate the DDTEFP authorization as soon as possible for visa issuance.

Passports issued more than 10 years ago will not be accepted for visa application.

Kindly note that applicants have to carry their original passports at the time of finger print appointment, the Consulate General of France will not be able to carry out your finger print without original passport. Applicants are requested to kindly respect the timings scheduled for the appointments and be there on time.

Kindly be informed that incomplete application increases the risk of refusal of your visa application by the Consulate General of France in Dubai.
The processing time of your visa application at the General Consulate of France is about 5 to 21 days (starting from the date that you have your finger prints scanned at the Consulate). This processing time will depend on your passport. Please keep in mind that your passport will be kept at the Consulate General of France in Dubai during this time
The Consulate General of France in Dubai has the right to request additional information or documents in order to process the visa application and might call the visa applicant for an interview.
The payment of the visa fees does not give the right to automatically obtain the visa. The visa fees are not refundable in case of refusal or cancellation of the visa application.
Acceptance or refusal of visa is totally at the discretion of the diplomatic missions.
It is advisable that your travel insurance should be valid at least a few days beyond your intended dates and duration of stay in France/Schengen countries in case there is a delay due to unforeseen circumstances (delay, cancellation of flights, etc…). The Consulate is not liable to issue a visa beyond your travel insurance dates. |
